The Benefits of Success

To be successful, a person needs to work hard and not be afraid to take risks. Anyone who has worked their way up to success appreciates the process. People who appreciate what they have done and how they got to where they are currently are more likely to give back. This is the story for Anthony “Tony” Petrello.

Tony began his adult life by attending Yale University. While there, he earned a B.S. and an M.S., both in Mathematics. He then went on to attend Harvard Law School where he earned his law degree. After graduating law school, Tony went to work for the law firm of Baker & McKenzie. He worked there for thirteen years and even served as a managing partner for a time.

In 1991, Tony Petrello went to work for Nabors Industries, Ltd. Nabors Industries is an oil, natural gas, and geothermal drilling company. They are located in many countries around the world and have over 27,000 employees. In 2011, Tony Petrello took the role of CEO, and he is still there currently.

In his spare time, Tony Petrello serves as a director of the board for the Texas Children’s Hospital. The Texas Children’s Hospital is home to the Jan & Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute. This is a cause that is very personal to Tony Petrello and his family. His daughter was born early at 24 weeks. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and is developmentally delayed. Through the work being done at the Neurological Research Institute, their daughter has made many important improvements.

Treatments and finding a cure for neurological disorders is a cause that Tony Petrello and his wife are devoted to. They are huge donors and spend a lot to time advocating for the cause. With their daughter using the services offered by the Jan & Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute, they know firsthand the benefits that are offered. They want to see this continue and are doing everything they can to make that happen.

A truly successful person knows what they have and knows all the hard work they put into it. Tony Petrello has been very successful in his life and now he is working to be successful with the Texas Children’s Hospital. They will continue to fight until the fight is won.
