The day to day activities a lawyer are of great importance in many areas such as child custody issues, writing of a will, landlord tenant problems and criminal matters. New York city in partnership with a national provider of market place and referral management technology for the legal industry came up with an online platform which enables its citizen to have access to lawyers who are experienced in the the field. This platform is easy and convenient for everyone since it operates 24 hours.

For an individual seeking a lawyer the first procedure is to go to their website. One then proceeds to fill in the confidential questionnaire quoting their location and the legal issue. The questionnaire is reviewed and then matched with an attorney whose office is within the same community .If the person lives in the 17 counties within the locality, the State Bar will forward the request to the right county bar association. There is always a consultation fee of $35 for the first 30 minutes the attorney will engage with the individual. Exceptions are made in the case of personal injury, medical malpractice, social security, veterans and military law. In case the individual wants to retain the lawyer there is fees he has to pay to the attorney.

One of the people who has made this possible is Jeremy Goldstein. He was a partner in law firms such as Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen and Katz. Goldstein is the chairman of the Mergers and Acquisition Subcommittee of the Executive Compensation Committee. Furthermore, Jeremy is in the professional advisory board of the NYU journal of law and business.

Goldstein in the recent past has been involved in corporate transactions such as in the acquisition of Goodrich by united technologies, Duke Energy, the chemical company, Rohm and Haas Company, process energy, Schering plough Corporation and many others. Jeremy is much involved in charity that is dedicated to the healing process of men and women with mental illness.
